Kuo Yuan Ye has deep roots in Taiwan. Since its founding in 1867, it has worked to preserve the rich heritage of traditional Taiwanese pastries. In August 2002, it established the Shilin Branch of the Pastry Museum, combining exhibitions, education, and outreach to showcase the history and cultural development of Taiwanese pastries. With its diverse, engaging, and enjoyable programs, the museum was selected as a high-quality museum through a nationwide online poll. Over more than three centuries of development, Kuo Yuan Ye has expanded from the confectionery industry into wedding services, Western-style baking, and cultural confectionery businesses.

- Children under 3 enter free. Children aged 3 to under 12, seniors aged 65 or older, and guests with disabilities can pay the NT$40 admission fee on-site. (NT$40 discount with a product purchase; DIY experience fee not included)
