This is a historical site consisting of a royal palace and fortress, established during the reign of King Rama IV (King Chulalongkorn) in the 19th century. It comprises buildings, ruins, and museums constructed in the 1860s and is renowned as an excellent place showcasing Thailand's traditional architectural styles, arts, and religious culture. Phra Nakhon Khiri is also known as "Khao Wang," meaning "Mountain of the King." From its summit, visitors can enjoy beautiful views, particularly the stunning sunset.
