Honest Review of “NAAM 1608” — A Riverside Restaurant Along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River

 

 

The warm wood-toned interior combined with the stylish bar area creates a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. 
Hanging wine glasses and soft lighting add to the restaurant’s cozy and romantic ambiance. 
The lively mix of locals and travelers also gave the place a vibrant and authentic feel. 

 

 

The striking lion artwork near the entrance immediately catches your attention and becomes a focal point of the space. 
Since guests remove their shoes before entering, the restaurant feels even more local and authentic. 
The traditional Thai decorations and vibrant colors instantly enhance the travel atmosphere.

 

 

The indoor seating area is spacious overall, with comfortable spacing between tables. 
You can still catch glimpses of the riverside view from inside, making the dining experience feel open and relaxing. 
There were also many families dining here, which added to the comfortable atmosphere.

 

 

The riverside seats are definitely the highlight of this restaurant. 
Sitting by the window gives you a stunning front-row view of the Chao Phraya River. 
Since we visited around sunset, the shimmering sunlight made the atmosphere even more beautiful.

 

 

As the sun goes down, the atmosphere becomes increasingly romantic. 
Once the lights turn on, the restaurant takes on a completely different charm from the daytime. 
It’s a perfect spot for a date night or a special dinner.

 

 

Sunset is definitely the moment you don’t want to miss here. 
The sunlight reflecting across the river creates a truly cinematic view. 
It’s also the perfect time for photos, so everyone naturally reaches for their camera.

 

 

The table setting was clean and organized, and the menu was easy to browse. 
Considering it’s a riverside restaurant, the pricing felt surprisingly reasonable. 
Choosing dishes from the menu only made us more excited for the meal.

 

 

Their signature fried fish dish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside — absolutely delicious. 
Paired with the accompanying sauce, the dish perfectly highlighted Thailand’s signature sweet and tangy flavors. 
The portion size was generous, making it ideal for sharing.

 

 

The Tom Yum Goong had a rich and flavorful broth with an excellent balance of herbs and spices. 
It wasn’t overly intense, making it approachable even for those unfamiliar with strong Thai flavors. 
The warm soup made the entire meal feel even more satisfying.

 

 

The fried dishes paired beautifully with the fresh herbs. 
Dipping them into the sauce enhanced the flavors even more, making each bite incredibly addictive. 
Overall, the quality of the food exceeded expectations and left us thoroughly satisfied.

✔ Highly recommended to visit during sunset hours (5:30 PM – 6:30 PM) for the best atmosphere and views 
✔ It’s a popular restaurant, so expect possible waiting times — arriving early or making a reservation is recommended 
✔ If you plan to sit by the river, lightweight clothing is recommended due to the warm weather
